[edit] Combine CSet and Palette articles?

I was working on some text for the Palette article, but it is very difficult to talk about palettes without talking about CSets, and visa-versa. I was thinking about combining these two articles into one larger article...anybody care? Perhaps I will create a new, third article and just redirect CSets and Palette to it. --ScaryBinary 07:00, 8 March 2008 (PST)

Personally, I think there are still enough differences between the two concepts to justify two articles. --L 01:14, 9 March 2008 (PST)
I'm still on the fence. I won't change anything for now, but I may draft an article that covers the "color system" at a general level (I already have one, just need to clean it up). The topic that prompted my concern was how palettes and the "level-dependent" CSets work together, and why, for instance, changing the pallete for a DMap doesn't change Link's colors, and so on. You're right, there are probably plenty of CSet concepts to justify a seperate article, but there's also a "gray area" where we need to talk about both palettes and CSets at the same time. *eh?* --ScaryBinary 06:09, 9 March 2008 (PDT)
Yeah, I think you should combine the twoJoe123 12:12, 11 March 2008 (PDT)
Here's my take on it: Color_system. Someone should probably proof-read it. 8^) I've seen several CSet tables around, I'll check this one (which I think I grabbed from Zelda Classic University) with a recent one I saw on AGN. I think the original CSet and Palette pages can be kept and updated with some of the more gory details. I haven't redirected the other pages or linked to the new one or anything, so if it totally sucks that we'll get someone to delete it....! --ScaryBinary 18:57, 12 March 2008 (PDT)
